It's Mario Kart. What do you want? Unlike the GBA game this feels like a fully realised Mario Kart game.

The Mario Kart rubberbanding bullshit seems very heavily in force here. It seems impossible to get the lead out of the gate, so you always end up chasing for about half the race. Blue shells are everywhere. Generally kind of annoying.

It really really feels like the top CPUs are about 1.5x as fast as you at the beginning of the race and then drop off to 0.8x late in the race.

I was going to claim there was no finishing the game after beating all the cups on 100cc. But I looked it up and there is a credits after finishing mission mode (simple missions like drive through the rings in x seconds or collect all the coins) so I did that.

Overall, as I said earlier, it's Mario Kart.
